If Lilly and James had had more kids do you think they'd feel inferior to Harry? Personally I don't think they really would have had more kids I am just contemplating the thought and want to know your opinion...

Well, if they had more kids, the story probably would've turned out different.

i can't remember how old harry was when voldy tried to kill him but i don't think he was old enough to have a sibling yet. or he might have been...

that used to be one of my far out crazy theories that i didn't really beleive would happen but thought it would be cool if they did. because if harry had a long lost sibling he'd have family, and he might randomly meet his sibling one day and have somewhere to belong.
then that sibling wouldn't know they were related to harry in the first place if they were long lost so they wouldn't be jealous they're brother was "the chosen one" they'd just be excited they were related to him.

He was over a year old. It was the October after Harry turned one. The story just wouldn't have panned out if they had had more kids.

Not unless his mother had gotten pregnant soon after she gave birth... or had a child before Harry.

The thing is... the child might have died. Part of the house was blown off. It's amazing Harry survived.

Well say if Harry did have a sibling, then he might not be so lonely. I dont think they would be jealous of him whatsoever. Ive read a lot of fanfics and this usually happens in the fic where they hate him for being the chosen one. In all honestly if you had a sibling that was destined to go head on against the number dark wizard of the times, would you be all like. 'oh if it was only me!!" I would be like, yeah, Im just glad Im not Harry. Have fun bro don't die, cuz, well, that would mean a horrible life for me and everyone else. As for plot, I think JK could make the same plot work out, if the sibling wasn't a huge character you know, just kinda there with no real meat. lul.

But isn't the whole story about how he wants to belong? So if he were to have siblings then the story would be different Very Happy

It would have turned out differently because James and Lily would've survived long enough for them to have had more kids. Derrr lol.

Not necassarily... they could have had kids before Harry or right after Harry. Harry was over a year old, about 15 months. It would have been very possible for Lily to have had a child in between Harry and the time she died.

I'm sure Voldemort would have simply killed the other children. The prophecy named Harry/Neville, so unless the other children were also born in July, I dont see much hope there.

Of course, Lily may have only been able to protect one of them. And in that case whichever one she protected would have been the downfall of Voldemort. And the other would have died.

EDIT: Actually, she could have saved both of them, like Harry did for the people in Hogwarts at the final battle. If that happened the story would have lost it's dramatic edge, though.

Some peole obviously have no concepts of time . . . I said that Harry was well over a year old. A year in itself is plenty of timet o conceive another child.

Weren't they like 21 when they had him? Having a kid earlier than say 19, that's getting into Hogwart's years. I don't see them ever having kids before Harry; after his birth, however, it's possible. Somehow, I don't see either James or Lily wanting a kid so soon after him though.

You can't always plan for these things. They were 21 when they died... so they were about 20 when they had harry... That leaves two years before harry to have a child and a year after Harry to have a child. It's still perfectly possible.

Well whatever I guess. I still think it would change quite a lot if Harry had a sibling.

if Harry's on his first year at Hogwarts, that means his siblings are staying with the Dursleys. and speaking of the Dursleys, i think Harry's sibs would give him much support from being mistreated by Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia and Dudley or maybe all of them are miserable like the Baudelaires in the series of unfortunate events but they might have more hope than them(the Baudelaires).

If Lily and James had more kids, i do not think there would be an attack on their lives, however, if there was, there would have to be two prophecies because they deal with the children of Lily and james. This would make a very complicated story

Actually I don't think so. I think she was far to dumb; Slytherins are supposed to be kind of sneaky but also smart, and I don't think Umbrige as one of these things.
Besides, she treated Snape very rude, tho he's a Slytherin.

maybe they'll die together with their parents.. and if not, i think they wouldnt be inferior to Harry, because I believe that they'll have different talents & they'll be great in their own ways.. & it'll be fun for Harry..
